KTJMHS IDAMATTOM

53 Years of Commendable service to the nation has established K.T.J.M.HIGH SCHOOL IDAMATTAM famous among the temples of learning.Instead of blaming darkness around and their humble effort is now rewarded by god in a magnificent way as K.T.J.M.H.S.Sri. Joseph Thomas Kuruvinakunnel founded the school in 1955, in memory of his beloved father Sri. Thommen Joseph kuruvinakunnel. Smt. Annamma Joseph ,the first Manager of the school tried to lead the school towards excellence. The School flourished under the leadership of Sr. Philip Neri, the first Headmistress,Sri. V.O.Mathai was the first High School Headmaster.
After two decades Kuruvinakunnel family was searching for a safe pair of hands to handover the school.They were very happy to entrust the school to CMI Congregation in 1983. As CMI Fathers had deep routed tradition in educational field , they sincerely strived to turn the pupil's dreams into silver and gold..

They had so much concern about poor and could contribute much to the society and to the nation.Kuruvinakunnel Thomman Thomman Started a Primary School at Idamattam and donated it to the Government. He also started Marigiri Hospital and a chapel at bharananganam

Kuruvinakunnel Thomman Joseph Memorial High School  started in 1955 ,on the banks of meenachil river, at Idamattam.It was upgraded as a High School in 1966.Sri. V.O Mathai was the first Headmaster.There was 1500 students and 45 Teachers during the period .The school was listed among the best schools in the state.S.S.L.C result was very high from the beginning onwards and Many times it touched 100% 

OVER TO CMI Fathers

The School was taken over by the present Management in 1991.This institution is currently run by CMI fathers.
